enough with the vacations
Aug. 28th, 2004 12:22 amI'm back from visiting my grandparents (on my dad's side). It wasn't quite as bad as I'd thought it would be, because my grandparents have always been healthy until the last few years (in which I haven't seen them). They're still pushing the boundaries, even if the lines are a lot more strict. I'm glad they are in assisted living though.
Eh, let's see, I spent way too much money. I got both the Ruby and Sapphire decks of Pokemon cards, a sweeet poster of Vin Diesel from the Chronicles of Riddick, the novelized version of said movie, some new charms for my charm bracelet, EverQuest Platinum, a very cute (and very huggable) mint green/blue and fushia hippo, and a bunch of other stuff. Money... evil money. I like my poster =P
I drew a lot, so I have a ton of stuff to scan and add to my art page. I have felt kinda guilty about not working on or posting any more comics lately, but I've got a few things on the to-do list. Of prime importance right now is getting my bedroom liveable again (at this moment I can't use the couch unless I find places to put all the junk that's half-organized in piles on it). I didn't write anything on the trip except for more charm bracelet haiku (a work in progress), but I read Pride and Prejudice and made some headway on Queen of the Damned. I listened to a lot of music as well, and played a bit of PsOne when there were available power outlets. I'm replaying Final Fantasy 8 since I've got all my crap outa storage and what not. Now to remember to install Warcraft 3...
What else, what else. Oh yes, I think I'm going to end up getting a hamster after all. I was debating on some other pets that Mom might allow, but a ham-ham will definitely be the simplest and cuddliest of the choices at the moment. I saw the sweetest kitten at the fair we went to while on vacation, gosh but I wanted that cat. Like Mom would even think of it... plus we were on a trip. Meh.
Well, off to patch EQ, it better not take as long as the last time I did this. I don't feel like devoting four evenings of endless patch sessions to... well... okay so I could do some reading.
