I'm making a note of this here so I can find it again later, sourced from user Zerioth on the EA Sims 4 forum who found a workaround for virtuoso spellcaster sims who end up in a bugged xp-bar loop and can't earn further perk points. I've substituted my preferred commands for turning cheats on and off.

1. Open console with CTRL+SHIFT+C and enable cheats: testingcheats on

2. Then type: stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 50

3. Then type: stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_WitchOccult_WitchXP 2350

4. Then turn cheats back off with: testingcheats off

Copy/paste works using the longer lines of cheat code. What this does at steps 2 and 3 is reset the sim's spellcaster rank to neophyte and then sets it back to virtuoso. No perk points are lost in this process, and the sim is again able to earn spellcaster xp properly.

Edit: I'm also including the cheat to add a perk point, because the spellcaster xp bar likes to bug out right at the very end of the bar.

Hehee... love The Sims. Love. Other than I've run across an odd bug on the Mimi-Roomie level (forget what it's called) if you demolish and rebuild the house to save on rent. Better to just blast through the job requirements and get outa there. Learned the hard way... urgh. Anyways, my two best sims are as follows:

Sim One: Vin Diesel
Vin stayed at home for quiiiite some time working on skills, and Momma owed him a ton of money by the time he left (even though he'd borrowed it from her in the first place, figure that out). Once it was job time, he joined the military (of course, bwahahaha) and rose in the ranks fast. Before long he was living it up with his buddy Carlos the X-Treme Sports nut, but that would end when Vin married Ginger and had two kids, Eminem and I forget what the girl was called. Heh. Oops. Anyways they went to prep school as they always did have good grades, and Vinny became an astronaut (which was my dream before I learned I was too tall to fit in the shuttle seats). He retired in style.

Sim Two: Pirogoeth Phear
Named after Piro's roleplay/FPS character (from the MegaTokyo webcomic), this gal decided to try the ever cliche "entertainment" line of sims. She blew through the game, marrying Randy (whoo! more cliche! considering he's the guy you start out with in the initial daydream that begins the game), and having four kids in the long run, the first two boys were Largo and Dom, followed by Miho who went to prep school a little faster than planned (damn telescope anyways), and Ping, one awesome kid with awesome stats who finished up my garden of sand castles. Piro is now a Superstar and loving it (why would I want to retire? LOL) and Randy is living the high crime life cuz it just seems to fit him. Heh.

More when I'm not pressed for time (gee, why am I doing a journal entry now of all times?) cuz I'm off to get my old last name back finally. >D
