dark clouds
Dec. 3rd, 2004 12:26 amThat's what I dreamed about much earlier today, before my last post. At first it was horribly stormy weather, tornados all over and wind and drenching rain. I was trying to survive with some boy who's name I don't remember, even though I called it several times at one point when he went missing. Oh yeah, and I was a guy at this point. Gotta love switching genders. Anyways, I found the boy sitting on a fence, and after a whole lot of stuff that didn't make sense (including spending some time weathering the storm in a lady's house that had sunken mostly underground) I ended up finding a town. The weather was fine by this point, but I found this yard sale and the boy wanted to buy some board games but I only had like $4 to my name. I was me again by this point (female) and I suddenly ran across my Mom at this yard sale.
It was like she didn't want to talk to me. She seemed... shifty. Some other guy shows up, and as I am trying to tell Mom what happened to me she starts rudely talking to this guy and ignoring me. From what she said, I think she was married to this person (what happened to Dad I do wonder?). I realized why so many things at this sale seemed familiar, like the games. They had belonged to our family. My mom was selling our life away, or something. I realized at that moment that I wanted nothing more to do with these people, and left with the boy. If I remember right I had already discovered that his own past life was garbage and so now we decided that we had a lot better chance of starting over again, just the two of us, seeing what sort of adventure life would give us. On $4. So off we went...
Much later in the dream, which made little sense beyond that point, I was with my family in the car on a road trip (I think). The boy from earlier was gone, I think this must have been a separate storyline. I remember seeing extremly dark clouds in the sky, they looked like they had been made entirely of dark grey smoke and seemed out of place with the other more normal, fluffy white clouds. There was even a thunderhead with a lot more of a base to it than the other dark clouds. I knew something was wrong... but I don't remember anything else and eventually woke up.
I wish I had a dream dictionary. Maybe I'll look it up online. I bet dark clouds mean something. Kinda like loosing your teeth in a dream (I forget, but I think that means something about having a difficult decision facing you)... I have *that* dream entirely too much.
Mmm... saltines and American cheese. It was the only thing I felt like eating when I got up. I still have this stupid migraine. Too bad I can't drink Kool Aid anymore or I could complete the nutritionless meal concept. Yum. But now I'm out of American cheese. Damn.
Now to figure out if I'm going to stay up or go back to bed again...
Edit: I looked up the stuff that was in this dream:
