tirsden: a creepy child swings on a creepy swing (wtf?????????)
I went to Guitar Center to find out if I could play on the keyboards sometime, and they said sure. I went across the street to Kitt's Music... which turned out to be a very upscale piano store. I stood at the door for twenty minutes while the only visible sales guy walked an old couple around and ignored me. At least I had a Frappuchino (yay treat!) to keep me busy... and it was air conditioned... but still... I finished the drink and was seriously bored. So I played quietly on a couple of the ditigal keyboards for kicks (and searched out the semi-hidden price tags).

Ten minutes later, the sales guy walked the rich old people into a back room with even more expensive stuff... and I said "screw this" and left. Never going back there. For all they know, I'm rich, I just don't wanna look like it. And the guy could have had the decency to say, "I'm with a customer right now, it might be a while / did you have a quick question?" One minute of his time was too precious apparently. And thirty minutes of my time weren't worth crap... with groceries getting warm in my backpack...

The Kitt's Music in question is in the Twinbrook (Rockville, MD) area near the Old Navy / Barnes And Noble / Starbucks / Giant shopping center. I recommend avoiding them at all costs. Jerks. (The Guitar Center is across the street, next time I wanna walk up there I'm taking sheet music. ^^ )
