I could very well imagine leaving the videotape on top of the car. And the number of times I've reached for my towel only to come up empty (forcing me to use my daughter's Hello Kitty towel) ...well, it's embarrassing, really. Yet somehow I managed to convince the test that I'm ... My Results (http://ludditegeek.blogspot.com/2005/05/hitchhikers-guide-personality-test.html)

Yeah my real towel is actually hidden away in my dresser.. it's a beach towel and it says "Life's a beach, and then you fry." I love that towel. ^_~

You know, if this test knew what I went through to upgrade my hard drive (http://ludditegeek.blogspot.com/2005/05/universe-1-me-0-or-how-not-to-upgrade.html) recently, it would put me down as Arthur Dent or even Marvin. Don't you think?

Wow... I vote Arthur...

Marvin probably wouldn't have made any mistakes, believed anything the IT guy said, and been hopelessly depressed the entire time. At least you did get it working in the end. Mostly. o_O;;

I have a hardware issue at the moment too, so I feel your pain. When I access any form of folder listings (say, Windows Explorer), my new CDR/W locks up my computer for a moment until it is happy thinking about whatever it has to think of. If I try to move files onto a floppy disk, or access the floppy drive at all, the CDR again has to lock things up, usually longer if the floppy drive is involved, and think about god knows what until it's happy. I have a feeling it's something to do with how I've got things wired.

Any ideas? o_O I'm running Win98SE and the CDR/W is new... didn't have this problem until I replaced my old CDROM. I may look in there and try to switch connections around... meh. I dislike going into my tower. Bad things happen. LOL.

oh..

..and Windows doesn't detect any hardware conflicts. Meh!
