random childhood memory
Jul. 22nd, 2005 11:54 amI'd forgotten this until I saw the commercial for Sam Adams where they dunk the guy into a dunk tank full of old beer. I knew that when I was a little kid back in Australia, there were some sort of game days, either put on by the local church or school or the nearby American base. One of the adults would be set up in a dunk tank, and people would do the whole throw-the-ball-and-try-and-dunk-them business.
What I'd forgotten is that one time I got under the dunk tank where the guy above couldn't see me. I'm almost thinking someone told me to do it. The next person to throw the ball missed miserably, but I hit the target with my hand. BAM SPLASH! Heheee! The guy got back up on the seat thing and the next person threw the ball. Missed. BAM SPLASH! I forget how long this went on until either the person figured it out or the other person who'd masterminded this finally told them what was going on. =P
