PC probs continue

Well, I have a CDR/W again, but now my zip drive doesn't exist. At least my internet is working (at the moment). I've had the zip drive problem before, but I've been so used to having it working that it's gonna be a pain if I can't get it to show up again. Cuz... it's really my only source of backup at the moment.

Anyways, yay. Time to move wires around again and pretend I know what I'm doing. I'm actually surprised it booted up in this configuration. =P

Edit: YAY zip drive is back! And dude, I appear to have cured my own hardware conflict between the floppy and the CDR in the process. Now if my internet would quit bugging out... either the network card is going or it's a problem outside the actual case. It seems to be unhappy when I flip the case upright. Strange... the card is in as tight as possible. Oh well... I guess that means the parental units' pc is next on the repair list.

Yeah, I still haven't figured out what's wrong with the 'rents puter yet. I dislike opening computer cases... bad things can happen when I do that... x_X

Glad you have your ZIP drive *and* your CDRW.

That case-tipping-causing-the-Internet-to-crap-out problem might be due to a loose connector.

But if I unplugged the ethernet and plugged it back in, the light didn't come on on the back of the network card. If I rebooted though, it seemed to work... sometimes... or for a short while... but whatever was wrong with it seemed to be fixed at some random point, then I rearranged my room so now I have no clue what it'll do when I get everything connected back up again. Heh heh.

Wheee! Here's to extension cords! XD
