my kid sister is a trooper
Oct. 27th, 2006 01:58 amShe fractured her... "radial" something... in her elbow today. =O And she's still gonna go on her ROTC field-trip that's like several days long and stuff. She's annoyed cuz she can't do the obstacle course now (of course) along with other stuff she was looking forward to even tho it'd be hard work. Oh yeah and did I mention she's in ROTC as of several weeks ago? Doing really good too, she has the best uniform during inspection usually. Kinda funny all things considered. Okay, very funny... =P
But not funny at all she got hurt, ouchness. She's done one thing I haven't now. She was goofing off at school and tripped backwards over a friend's legs. She caught herself with her right hand and actually went thru the rest of the school day in what I'm going to guess is a lot of pain. Even in the car home Mom was fishing around with what to do and I'm like... "You should probably go to the emergency room." I mean, she was gasping every time the car stopped / hit a big bump. So yeah, the already packed schedule for the day became chaos but it all worked out in the end and kid sister is getting the proper medical treatment and all. Good good.
I uh... am fried. I just finished a set of Link weapons for kid brother who needs them tomorrow for school. He's got the rest of the outfit already thanks to various thrift stores. Oh and Candy got out for at least a couple hours the other day and I ended up looking for her outside or it would'a been longer. She was fairly traumatized / cuddly / immobile the rest of the day. And she didn't learn a darn thing apparently, as she keeps trying to get outside again. Aaand ... nah, I go sleep now. Sleeeep.
Oh yeah P.S. kid sister is left handed, she's glad she didn't catch herself with that hand if it was gonna cause a break, but then she wonders if it wouldn't have because she usually catches herself with her left hand/arm and it's a lot stronger so it usually just hurts but no permanent damage. Hmm... guess we'll never know.
