My most common dream symbols

A random observation several months ago, plus lots of forgetting, means I'm finally posting this. Thanks to LiveJournal's tag options, I have all my dreams over on my dream journal tagged by major dream symbols. And I can view them by usage. So my current top twelve dream symbols are:

day, enemy, night, white, run, mother, water, child, friend, black, car, gun

...which sounds about right. I appear to have more dreams about daytime than nighttime, and more about enemies than friends. Also a lot of running. And either black and white are the most noticeable colors in any dream, or they're the ones I notice the most. I usually dream in color, I can only remember two dreams that were actually black and white.

Did you notice that some of your symbols tend to be opposites: day / night; friend / enemy; white / black. Is this some sort of bipolar effect?

Or maybe it's just normal, post-dream, free-association....

Y'know I hadn't lol... wow. It could be coincidence... but it's a lot more interesting to think about it being set that way on purpose. What that purpose would be is beyond me, unless you're right about the bipolar-ness. xD
