staaaairs...
Jul. 17th, 2007 10:50 amAhkay so lately I've had more lucid moments in dreams than normal. And I've made a point of trying to find out what's at the bottom of the all-mysterious stairs. This is something that I've hit a few times in my past dream cycles, where I notice a stairwell going down, in various configurations and whatnot, and at the bottom is a door. If I try to go down to the door, it gets harder and harder to move, and I feel all weirdly fuzzy as I get closer. Like trying to push the same poles of two magnets together. It's actually been a while since I dreamed that until recently, and I've started trying to do it in lucid moments.
The first time (in this set) there was that odd pushing away feeling, but I remember finally being able to grasp the door handle... I think I opened it and if there was some sort of internal message there, it was overwritten by idiotic dream plot that took over and the lucid moment was lost. Since then I've done it probably three more times in two nights, but it wasn't hard to move, so I don't think I got to the real door. It seems like sometimes I have to go thru several doors and try to keep finding stairways down.
It's probably just nonsense, but my obsessive mind is curious. And I'm not posting this on
tirsdendreams because I'm pretty picky about the format of posts there as this isn't really a one-dream, not-much-outside-comments thing. I kinda wonder if it's some sort of suppressed memory. Odds are it's just subconscious nothingness that I've latched on to for some reason. I dunno. xD

Don't the dream books say that basements, and going down stairs are symbols of the subconscious? Is it trying to tell you something? Maybe, "Hey send down some Ranch Doritos and a Corona!" :)

Cuz I'm not supposed to understand or see that part in any sort of lucidity? Hmm. Could be. I wonder if I'll ever get thru that door and find whatever it is that's fighting me back. =O And if it'll be meaninful results or not.
