Ed's adventures in Landel's

- Day 27 -
Lunch intercom: Ed wakes up and is escorted to lunch before she manages to prettify her temporary room. (The influx of new patients had not been sorted into proper rooms yet.)
Lunch: Ed follows the nurse to the cafeteria and learns the basics about Landel's from Itchy Gin-Gin [![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
traitors_smile]. Gin then sicks her on Tattoos [stray_shinigami] who will make a good friend, he says! Here she also meets Rukie-Rukie [haiiro_no_chou] and Keman-person [adorkabledragon], and is flabbergasted they know little or nothing about computers. Expresses interest in "the alchemists" when given various options of how to help fight the Landel's menace. She is thusly sent to hound Colonel Horseperson [muted_flame] for duties. Some other grumpy person [whiteychan] is at the table as well. This venture doesn't go over quite so well, and Ed decides to go make use of the bulletin board but is redirected by a nurse to a random empty spot because lunch isn't over yet.
Evening: Ed finds herself in the library and a nurse sends Leon [word_of_death] her way. They discuss various aspects and inconsistencies of Landel's. Ed has, by the end of the shift, figured out what she is going to do tonight via the bulletin board; she's going to join the efforts of the Aide Club to help people who have been attacked by monsters. She also saw a map of the four patient blocks on the board.
Dinner: Ed is escorted to her proper room, F30, and meets roommate Ururu [bewarethecute], who tells Ed a little about the Soul Society and Hollows.
Nightshift: Ed begins her trek to the Aid Club via the F21-F30 hallway, hallway between F and M blocks, and the hallway by the nurses stations and stairs. Here she pauses, tempted to explore via the stairs, and is intercepted by someone new [givemealowfive]. Is properly introduced, and then she and Steve Burnside are approached by Siegfried (!) [requiemforasoul]. All three of them take off for the second floor via the stairs, in search of weapons, Siegfried eventually leading the way as he apparently knows where some are. Meanwhile there are creepy sounds in the walls and the whole area starts smelling like blood (Landel's First Plague). They follow him through one hallway and then another, to reach the janitor's closet where someone has previously killed some icky giant cockroaches. While the others get whatever they're interested in, Ed grabs an extension cord and ties it around her waist, and then takes a mop for a weapon, pouncing back out into the hall to challenge any would-be attackers and generally stand guard. Burningsides recklessly takes the lead, and Ed decides this is a race. She careens off ahead of everyone else to the next hall, then over to the railed area looking down into the Sun Room. She stops here, looking down at the fight below and shining a flashlight on the spoooky monster [thebloodyacacia] that is currently making a mess of things down there. Ed thinks she's being helpful doing this, but who knows what the people think below because nightshift ends.
Bulletin board posts for entire day: *big grin* - helpful helps? - attention heroes! - "checkers" - star wars?
- Day 28 -
Morning: Ed ends up on the third bus dressed all in black, including a hoodie, jeans, and icky shoes and socks because the nurse is so very evil. Also, the extension cord and mop are no longer in her possession. She's feeling incredibly gloomy and still sleepy as she approaches another person [kingofknights] who also seems down in the dumps, and asks to sit with them.
