tirsden: a creepy child swings on a creepy swing (0 b4by)

in light of letting go of my paid account finally, I'm gonna be messing with the free styles. so if things go nuts on this page... you know why. xD I could actually procrastinate a little longer but eh... I like playing with the premade layouts and the nice thing about those is, all the pages are formatted, not just the main journal page.

g'bye shiny riddick layout. you was pretteh. *pets one last time*

edit: AHAHA... how to make your journal pretty but unreadable in one easy step! hmmm... back to Photoshop...

edit: better... I like it. image credit goes entirely to Lasaro who gives general permission to use her images as long as credit is given. ♥ check out the original non-faded-to-death version, it is soooo pretty and has been my desktop ever since she posted it.

Gosh, look what happens when I don't read your journal for a while!

It is a nice background, but it's tricky to scroll down and still see boundaries between posts. Did you try tiling it vertically?

Oooh... hmm, I'm not sure what you mean, but then I'm viewing the journal at 1024x768. (I noticed the background image seems to jerk around when scrolling the page using Firefox, but it's fine in IE.) Hmm, tried it at higher rez, looks okay... I don't want to tile the background at all, is what it boils down to. Would mess with "teh look" and whatnot.

I made the boundary lines around the journal entries light on purpose, there should be a large enough space between entries to tell where one ends and the other begins? Also, if the image in the background is scrolling with the entries somehow, it shouldn't be...

This *is* better. The dashed lines that follow the text help a lot. Did those dashed lines scroll before? I don't remember.

Gosh, I feel a bit like a pig for criticizing the layout. Sorry about that. The background image is great!

lol it's ok, it had bugs and I think one thing is I usually have my monitor gamma/brightness pegged, so I'm not necessarily seeing what others do when it comes to web design... darn MMORPGs are so infernally dark during game nighttime xD

the dashed lines weren't actually dashed before, I think that's one improvement now. they did scroll but weren't as noticable... so yesh... bettah!
