tirsden: a creepy child swings on a creepy swing (g4m3r grrrrrrrl)
Nah. It ain't workin... quasi-migraine today, at least, until the meds settle. I think this time it's cuz I didn't eat dinner before passing out yesterday after being up over 24 hours. Something about listening to the smooth jazz radio station while waiting in the car for peoples to be done doing whatever they were doing in JC Penny's. Yup. Out like a light... I vaguely remember the trip home, and this odd sensation that I thought we were going to get in a car wreck (Mom was running behind, I mean, it was after 9pm when we got home from errands). Obviously nothing happened, but still... it was a rather strong feeling. I'm sure it didn't help that I was half way in and out of dreamland the entire time.

We've got the paint for the guest room, a very light purple (but slightly darker than the one we'd originally chosen, which is good cuz the original shade wasn't far off from plain old white). Blargh... I think I'll go mush my brain playing Morrowind for a while. I don't even feel like working on my Spike Spiegel and Sesshoumaru smut fic. I *must* be sick if I'm not into that. ^_~ And since the fam is going out for lunch today, followed by Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (yayayayay!!) I wanna get to feeling better. Yup. *waves*

Umm, yeah. I've just had most of a venti coffee frappuchino and my energy level has upgraded to "I just wanna go to sleep" as opposed to my earlier "I'm still awake?" Darn meds. I only took half a dose of Tylenol Allergy Sinus this time (yeah, really, it works on migraines, go figure)... it still hit me pretty hard.

Hitchhiker's Guide was, umm... well, okay, I was expecting spectacular, or at least very good. I shoulda gone in expecting less, and I mighta liked it more. I liked Marvin. I didn't like Ford. Most of the story was new, which shows cuz it didn't work quite so well as the storyline in the books. 'Course, they were also trying to finish up the story in 2 hours, so... *shrug* It was okay. At least I was feeling better by then. As compared to the books and the BBC series, though, I'd say the movie ranked just above "stupid." And I'm ashamed to say it, as a fan of the other works, and knowing the author of the books actually worked on the film. Ah well. To each his own. Peoples should ignore my opinion anyways and go see it for the umm... parts that were like the book. LOL. Yeah, I haven't had a very good day.

But the Starbucks was good... is good... *slurp* ^_^

I'm backdating this so it doesn't mess with my top post for the day. ^_^ Anyways, the parental units just lost all their email from the last month or so, cuz Juno crashed itself so badly that it acted like it had never been started up (I have no clue what made it mad either, it shut down all nice and happy before I switched desktops, stupid program). The last backup of their account was the 15th of last month, and since I back things up about once a month, it's not quite backup time yet. Perfect timing for things to go wrong, eh? At least Mom had gone through the newer emails recently, but she still had 40 (!!) sitting in the inbox. As I grumbled about incompetent software I made a smart remark. "Well, this is one way to un-busy your life." I also said, "This is why I keep my email on the internet."

Mom doesn't like being on the internet to write email. I don't know why... but then I've been known to turn off firewalls while playing MMORPGs on cable. Not the smartest thing in the world. But until we get FIOS (fiber optics) we'll be stuck with Juno's crappy dialup and horrendous email client. I suppose it might be possible to pipe emails into Outlook, but I don't know how territorial Juno is and I really don't want to mess with it cuz Mom likes Juno's client. *shrug* It's her email. Whatever floats her boat. I'll stick with Yahoo, thankyouverymuch. And I think it's about time I made sure I have everything I want off this PC... the hard drive or motherboard is also barfing... bad error during boot-up. Fudgies. That'll teach the parental units to buy used Dells. I hope.

So. Juno sucks. Used Dells suck. THEND!!!
