Umm, yeah. I've just had most of a venti coffee frappuchino and my energy level has upgraded to "I just wanna go to sleep" as opposed to my earlier "I'm still awake?" Darn meds. I only took half a dose of Tylenol Allergy Sinus this time (yeah, really, it works on migraines, go figure)... it still hit me pretty hard.

Hitchhiker's Guide was, umm... well, okay, I was expecting spectacular, or at least very good. I shoulda gone in expecting less, and I mighta liked it more. I liked Marvin. I didn't like Ford. Most of the story was new, which shows cuz it didn't work quite so well as the storyline in the books. 'Course, they were also trying to finish up the story in 2 hours, so... *shrug* It was okay. At least I was feeling better by then. As compared to the books and the BBC series, though, I'd say the movie ranked just above "stupid." And I'm ashamed to say it, as a fan of the other works, and knowing the author of the books actually worked on the film. Ah well. To each his own. Peoples should ignore my opinion anyways and go see it for the umm... parts that were like the book. LOL. Yeah, I haven't had a very good day.

But the Starbucks was good... is good... *slurp* ^_^

I saw it over the week when I was in Florida, and actually Laura and I thought it was pretty good all things considered. :)

Granted, I haven't read the book in ages, but I remember most of it as well as the BBC miniseries (liked the cameo of the original Marvin costume BTW). I knew there were going to be changes made, but they were ones I could live with. Hey, it's Hollywood. I consider it something of a miracle if they adapt a book and stay faithful to the source material at all (look at The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). It may not have been a straight adaptation, but at least it was pretty true to the spirit of the book and to me that's the most important thing.

heh.. unlike *cough* LOTR.......

But I won't go there. Today. LOL. Yeah, it might have helped if I wasn't half zombified by meds but I dunno. Ah well, not bad for a free two hours of time killing ^_^
