Welp, I've lost three oldschool games to bad floppy disks. Kyrandia, Wacky Wheels, and Return of the Phantom... buh bye. Dangit, I liked those. I may be able to rescue Wacky Wheels since it's still installed on my parents' PC (in fact I probably already did back that up on CD)... but still... >(

I've inventoried all my software. I've done some of the hardware, zip disks (all 4 LOL), and floppies, and listed everything in a Lisa Frank daytimer that was abandoned by my kid sister. I rearranged my room a little, cuz the computer nook was just too small. So the PC is on my desk/table and Mr. Darcy (the psychotic, gender confused hamster) is where the PC used to be. With a little more rearranging of where books and things are, and the setup will be a lot more convenient.

Aaaand... I got a TV! ^_^ AND a VCR... all for $20 from some guy who I don't think I'd buy anything from again, but oh well. I need some coax cable and a coax-to-oldstyle-tv adapter, and I can set up my XBox in my room. >>>>DDD BWAHHAHAHAAAAA!!! I should be getting those parts tomorrow... yay!

Oh and we get DSL on Tuesday and I installed an old modem in my PC and it werks! So I should have DSL on Tuesday too. Now if I could figure out why my CDR/W hates my floppy drive... Basically my entire PC likes to lock up when I use the floppy drive, while the CDR/W light flickers like it has something to think about. If I'm patient, the system comes back to normal... but this is very, very annoying. Especially because the CDR/W likes to think about the floppy a lot. Either I have a hardware love affair on my hands, or a hardware conflict that Windows doesn't think is there.

At least with DSL I shouldn't have to use the floppy drive much anyways. Bah.

P.S. LMAO I just found the very first website I did for my very first EverQuest guild (which didn't even end up being called what is on the site because the name wasn't approved). Oh yes, the umm... ancientness.
