Further memoirs of a Splinter Cell

Okay, so I beat the game on Hard. I was vaguely disappointed that nothing special was unlocked by doing so. And the irony is I did it much faster than when I beat Normal. Of course, it helps to know the levels and enemy AI so well from the first time around. Ow, my head hurts thanks to all the blue fuzziness of heat sensor goggle mode. Ow.

*yawn* wtf...

I slept 15 hours or something. Now I've been up for 18, and probably gonna be up about 30. I did that the last time I was awake. And I've had a lot of weird, long dreams lately that I can't remember after I wake up. But last night I finally woke up with three of them in mind. Yeesh. Lots of weirdness and a little bit of niftiness. Two of them had lucid moments, but the first one was the most impressive. The end result of that one? According to the symbol analysis, my subconscious told me to break outside of the box, and if I do, I'll find my soul.

I need sleep. LOL.

random childhood memory

I'd forgotten this until I saw the commercial for Sam Adams where they dunk the guy into a dunk tank full of old beer. I knew that when I was a little kid back in Australia, there were some sort of game days, either put on by the local church or school or the nearby American base. One of the adults would be set up in a dunk tank, and people would do the whole throw-the-ball-and-try-and-dunk-them business.

What I'd forgotten is that one time I got under the dunk tank where the guy above couldn't see me. I'm almost thinking someone told me to do it. The next person to throw the ball missed miserably, but I hit the target with my hand. BAM SPLASH! Heheee! The guy got back up on the seat thing and the next person threw the ball. Missed. BAM SPLASH! I forget how long this went on until either the person figured it out or the other person who'd masterminded this finally told them what was going on. =P

I dunno who might see this, beyond my friends and any stalkers I don't know about (hiya bwahaha) and maybe one person on the "recent LJ posts page" if I'm really lucky... but this is a cause that is worthy of your hard earned monies. They're doing well on the donations, but they've still got a good chunk to go. And it's guilt trip time: even broke, incomeless me donated (I discovered I actually had a few bucks in checking, w00t!). You can do it too! You know you want to! ♥

Edit: Wow, they cleared the entire debt! Looks like there's some still piling on (wouldn't it be nice if they made a decent profit). Hopefully they learned their lesson this time around and won't get jacked by the convention center next year.
